Who is Barry Engolio?
Born in New Orleans and raised in Baton Rouge, LA, Barry Engolio attended Louisiana State University and started his career in financial services in 1984. After an initial stint in retail services, Barry realized that using the institutional products would do a better job for his clients, and switched to them exclusively.
Barry started Engolio Financial Group (EFG) with the mission to inform and develop relationships with individuals and families who are concerned about financial and estate protection during
retirement. EFG is a financial firm built on trust-based relationships, and one that does not rely on the typical sales tools used by many companies today. EFG prides itself on its ability to provide families with an informative experience in a low pressure environment
Barry focuses his efforts on helping to educate people fifty and older on the differences between retail and institutional financial services and why they should be aware of the costs and risks associated with the accounts they choose to use. He believes that protecting assets from significant market declines is priority one, followed by maintaining the potential for a reasonable rate of return, and keeping things simple.
Barry lives in Prairieville, LA with his wife, Rose and their three children, Jessica, Nick, and Christopher. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, hunting and gardening. Barry’s son Nick plans to join his Dad at EFG once he completes college.
